Forrest Hamm

A native of south Alabama, Forrest was first introduced to the world of real estate through his Uncle George, a top REALTORĀ® in Montgomery. From an early age, Forrest found himself seeking real estate advertising flyers and magazines from other areas and comparing home values to his local market.

After attending the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, he gained technical knowledge of real estate sales and acquisitions while working for a land and timber company in Upstate New York. He married a Connecticut Yankee, Debbi, moved back to the more temperate climates of the south and became a Computer Network Administrator for Fannin County School System in the beautiful mountains of North Georgia. In 2001 he decided to activate his real estate license in Georgia, and began working with RE/MAX Creekside Realty in Blue Ridge. During his first few months, Forrest assisted his fellow agents in upgrading their internet presence with (at the time) state-of-the-art virtual tours and dynamic MLS content for their websites. Forrest is self-taught in computer languages of PHP, SQL, and HTML.

Inspired by his early success of merging technology and real estate, he commented to his broker that when she decided to sell the office, to let him know. Sixty days later, at the ripe age of 26, Forrest was the proud owner of a small but successful real estate office.

Forrest has met with remarkable success. In his tenure, He has acquired four additional franchises in the surrounding counties, brokering over 100 agents at the peak of the market. With the addition of the Ellijay and Jasper companies, Forrest renamed his growing organization RE/MAX Around The Mountains. In 2004, at the age of 28, RE/MAX International honored Forrest with the Broker/Owner of the Year Award, the highest honor a broker can receive in the RE/MAX organization. In the same year, he was awarded the Broker/Owner of the Year Award by RE/MAX of Georgia.

Forrest lives in Blue Ridge, Georgia with his wife and three adorable boys. He is a member of the Blue Ridge United Methodist Church, the Blue Ridge Kiwanis Club, the adviser for the Fannin High School Key Club, and an active U8 Soccer Coach. When time allows, he enjoys golf, skiing, and the occasional Braves baseball or Alabama football game.
